Automation Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Analyze daily breakdowns related to automation
- Test and implement automated systems including PLCs, SCADA, and robotics
- Evaluate and select suitable automation technologies and systems
- Manage spare part inventory, check sheets, and budget documentation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (operations, production, IT, maintenance)
- Program automation software and prepare spare part lists
- Provide ongoing support and training for automation systems
- Verify procedures and assess system performance for improvements
- Promote Kaizen, 5S, UC/UA, and ensure PPE and safety protocol adherence
- Review critical and essential spares (electrical and mechanical)
- Ensure periodic updates for HIRA and aspect/impact analysis
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems and projects
- Update training plans and skill matrices for team members
- Ensure Energy Management System (EnMS) is maintained and improved
- Establish processes to manage changes affecting EnMS
- Safeguard data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Assist in audits and maintain required certifications and standards
Qualification:
- Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or related field
- Minimum 7 years in industrial automation
Skills:
- Proficiency in automation tools such as PLC, HMI, SCADA
- Knowledge of electrical & electronics circuits
- Understanding of communication protocols (Modbus, TCP-IP, Profibus, Profinet, CC-Link)
- Strong programming skills in Ladder Logic
- Familiarity with sensor technologies, actuators, and automation devices
- Knowledge of database/server communication and cybersecurity
- Experience with automation software: GX Works, TIA Portal, RoboGuide, GT Designer
- Exposure to industrial robots (Fanuc, Yaskawa, Kuka)
- Hands-on experience in machine integration and automation implementation
- Knowledge of die casting processes
